HireStrategy is seeking a CPA with 501(c)3 experience for its client in Reston. This person will report directly to the CFO and oversee a staff of 4-5.
The controller will be accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
This includes oversight of billing invoices, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, analysis of operational activities in order to prepare reports of operating statistics, maintaining accounting records on fixed assets, depreciation, and income, reconciling bank statements to G/L Cash Account, and preparing and reviewing Financial Statements. Additional key duties include preparing financial information for board meetings, annual budget preparation, and various audits that take place during the year.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
