About the Role:
McAfee's Advanced Program Group (APG) is looking for software engineers to support the enhancement and deployment of a cloud based product to help protect our customer's computers and networks. APG is a fast paced research and development group looking for innovators who want to contribute to our team.
Key
Responsibilities:
Work with our team to design hardware solutions for our customers as well as our internal test and development environment
Assist in ordering and installing hardware solutions
Install operating systems (primarily Linux) and software packages
Monitor system performance
Troubleshoot faulty hardware
Responsible for internal user administration
Support field service representatives
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
Strong Linux skills
Strong shell scripting skills
Experience with kick starting servers
Experience with configuration management tools
Experience with system monitoring tools
TS/SCI clearance with poly required
Prior experience with Federal customers is highly desirable
Self-motivated and must be able to work with minimal supervision
Able to work in a dynamic, startup-like environment
Desired:
Experience with configuring networks
Experience with configuring RAID arrays
