JOB TITLE: Sr. Rates & Budgets Analyst
PROJECT Overview:
This individual is responsible for the overall indirect rates. This position reports to the Director of Finance.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND
Responsibilities:
Meet all Government reporting requirements mandated by Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) related to preparation of the Company's forward pricing rate proposals (FPRP)
In conjunction with accounting, support Incurred Cost Submission, Government audits of proposals, post-award audits, CAS audits, progress payment and other DCAA/DCMA audits as required
In conjunction with billings, assist on contract close-out efforts
Developing all indirect rates for the business
Lead monthly analysis of actual vs budget indirect expenses
Review indirect expense actual vs budget with budget owners and educate them on ways to cut costs and manage their budgets
Create monthly indirect forecast updates
Analyze actual rates on a monthly basis compared to approved rates for billing and pricing adjustments
Create process and lead internal time-card self-audits to ensure compliance with charging
Proficient with Costpoint MJE and Service Centers to lead the allocation of costs and analysis
Create and conduct training on indirect expenses (incurring, allocating, reporting)
Along with strong communication skills, candidates must have an ability to think in complex and ever-changing situations, to solve problems, and to effectively transfer knowledge.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
5
years experience in Government industry
Extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Extensive knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Positive customer interface and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Required PC skills include advanced proficiency with Costpoint, COGNOS & Excel
Bachelor's Degree in business or other related field
Knowledge of DCAA and DCMA, policies and procedures
