JOB TITLE: General Ledger Accountant
PROJECT Overview:
The General Ledger Accountant is primarily responsible for the overall quality and timeliness of all General Ledger accounting. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND
Responsibilities:
Assist with review of monthly financial statements including standardizing financial reporting schedules to support the process.
Conduct research on technical accounting topics.
Have ownership of all account reconciliation and analysis.
Support FP&A, AP, AR, Billing as needed.
Develop, document, and enhance standardized controls and procedures. Includes working with other functional departments to document procedures.
Assist in ensuring compliance with FAR/CAS.
Serve as a liaison between external auditors, various departments, and program control, in support of the annual external audit or other DCAA/DCMA audit requirements.
Assist in Costpoint testing and implementation as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
B.S degree in Accounting or Finance with 3
years of Government Contracting experience

years of Deltek Costpoint experience
1
year Unanet experience
Working knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS.
Responsible, professional experience that can attest to a comprehensive knowledge of broad-based financial accounting functions.
Demonstrates knowledge/experience of systems applications relating to financial accounting. Excellent communications, writing and interpersonal skills required.
Excellent presentation, team building and leadership skills.
Ability to perform in complex cross-functional business environment.
Global perspective or business environment and technology.
DESIRED SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
CPA highly desirable.
Public accounting experience highly desirable.
