Military and Family Life Early Childhood Counselor - Yokota, JapanJob DescriptionThe primary responsibility of the this position is providing a full scope of Child and Youth Behavioral Health (CYB) services to children dependents of military service members and their families.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LMHC, or Licensed Psychologist.

In support of this important mission, Leidos is hiring licensed professionals to provide:
Non-medical counseling services that develop service member's well-being and mission-readiness.
Transformative support for the complex and unique matters of military family life such as hazard duty, life on base, life overseas and being away from home on deployment.
Have You Heard About Non-Medical Counseling for the Military?Non-medical counseling is preventive in nature and addresses things such as living conditions, life skills, relationships at home and at work, stress management, adjustment issues, marital problems, parenting, fear, grief and loss.
A recent RAND study on US Military Non-Medical Counseling Programs found that over 90 percent of military participants reported positive experiences with services provided through the MFLC Program, and expressed favorable perceptions of professionalism, thought that their counselor listened to them and spent enough time with them, and agreed that their counselor provided the services they needed to address their problem.
Military Family Life Counselor Child and Youth Behavioral Health - Child Development Center.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the this position is providing a full scope of Child and Youth Behavioral Health (CYB) services to children dependents of military service members and their families.
These services include non-medical counseling, training, and health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel at child daycare centers and schools, and consultation the installation command staff regarding behavioral issues affecting children and youth.
CYB counselors are assigned to DoDEA schools, and some cases local community schools and need to have experience working in a school setting to qualify for CYB positions.
CYB counselors are also assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and for on demand assignments.
CYB counselors are responsible for working closely with military branch Points of Contact (POCs) to assure that the program is provided within the scope of the contract and meets the needs of assigned installation.
Minimum Requirements:
A Master's degree in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA)2 years of post Licensure experience at the independent practice level (LCSW, LMFT, LPC LCPC, LMHC)Must be a US citizenMust be able to obtain NACI/CNACI clearanceU.
S PassportU.
S Driver's License, must be willing to obtain an International Driver's PermitDesired
Experience:
