Network Engineering Manager at NVR, Inc in Reston, VA
NVR is looking for an experienced Network Engineering Manager to join the NVRT Operations Team. The Network Engineering Manager is accountable for managing the high availability network infrastructure and associated connectivity services in line with the agreed service level targets. Collaborating with other IT teams, such as Systems Services, Enterprise Technology, Security, Support Services, Architecture, and the project delivery teams to ensure close alignment and engagement in implementing major developments and enhancements within the existing IT network infrastructure. Primary Responsibilities Design and maintain effective long term network operations strategies. Accountable for the management and growth of the Network Operations Team to ensure network connectivity services and related issues Create and maintain relevant IT policy and standards in line with appropriate best practice for network connectivity related areas Identify and act on opportunities for continuous improvement to reduce operational risks, optimize efficiency and improve standards Work with Architecture Team to ensure that that the network and associated management tools are both supportable and maintainable Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines Proactive monitoring and continuous assessment of network health Qualifications 10
years of experience working as a Network Engineer 5
years of Network Operations management experience Experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise CISCO networking infrastructure including the following:
Switching, Routing, Wireless, Network Monitoring High caliber communication, strong leadership, and interpersonal skills Strong organizational, planning, and relationship building skills Strong desire to grow and develop others.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
System & Network Administration, Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
