Responsibilities:
Oversees development and execution of business development strategies designed to generate, pursue, and close business with prospect accounts.
Responsible for development and execution of the organization's business development program.
Identifies and assesses potential new markets, evaluates business opportunities, and develops strategies for targeting potential customers.
Establishes standards governing lead generation, prospect contact and follow-up, and opportunity qualification.
Develops strategies for assessing customer needs and positioning the organization's products or services as potential solutions.
Tracks performance of the business development function and develops and implements strategies for improvement.
Oversees Sales/Business Development, Proposal, Pricing, and Marketing teams.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education:
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
Supervision is often provided through a team of subordinate managers and/or directors.
Collaborates with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
Typically requires BA and 15
years.
