Network Engineer - 100% Onsite
Insight Global is hiring for a Network Engineer (mid-level) to join our client in Reston, VA to build out new network infrastructure and configure, monitor, secure, and optimize existing infrastructure within an enterprise environment.
This organization is one of the largest home building and mortgage lending organizations in the U.
S.
and is constantly standing up new networks for both long-term permanent, and temporary locations for the organization.
You will be responsible for assisting with designing, building, and maintaining the network infrastructure that is the foundation of all their services.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver connectivity to all the business in each area of our network domain.
You'll leverage your experience to ensure the network is running optimally and is available for the business to connect and assist our customers with buying their dream homeResponsibilities include:
-Working with minimal supervision, diagnose, investigate, document, and resolve network connectivity issues, bugs, and user experience issues to support the development and business teams-Work closely with both internal customers, external vendors, as well as coordinating regional resources, to facilitate smooth project execution-Identify, develop and implement best practice solutions and provide recommendations for process improvements, which are sustainable and repeatable-Facilitate discussion with business users to understand use cases, define needs and success criteria, and aid in user adoption with focus on employee and customer experience-Keep current with the latest technology trends to apply technology efficiently and quickly to company requirements.
Complete specific training on assigned applications and technologies to be best prepared to regularly engage Minimum RequirementsRequirements:
Ability to travel 1 week per month.
Ability to work onsite in Reston, VA 5 days per week.
-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

years of experience in Networking roles, preferably Network Engineering-Experience with Cisco technologies and products.
This includes Cisco Switches, Routers, etc.
-Experience configuring building, implementing firewalls using either Palo Alto or Juniper technologies.
Other technologies may substitute for these.
-Certifications:
Either a CCNA or a CCNP-Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge and common networking terms as well as knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment-Strong understanding of major Networking Command Line Protocols and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF)-Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies, with experience in cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies-Excellent troubleshooting skills for networking, cyber-security, routing and inter-connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and troubleshooting cabling connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords Recommended Skills Border Gateway Protocol Business Process Improvement Cisco Cisco Certified Network Associate Cisco Certified Network Professional Cisco Switches Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
