years experience assisting in dental procedures/treatment Current CPR Certification X-ray Certified Knowledge of OSHA and HIPPA regulations Strong communication skills Can work well within a dental team Responsibilities The Dental Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to practice procedures and protocols Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests Maintains instrumentation for dental treatment by sterilizing and selecting instruments Assists dental professional using four handed dentistry Takes radiographic images, Trios digital scans, alginate impressions, fabrication of study models and essix appliances, and CT scans.
Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control instructions, and postoperative instructions; and thorough knowledge of all Periodontal therapies and treatments Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques Job Type:
