5K a year 10 days ago 10 days ago 10 days ago ASRC Federal has a new opportunity to join the Benefits Team as our Leave and Absence Specialist.
This position, reporting to the Benefits Manager, will administer the company-wide leave and absence programs and policies, including paid time off programs, disability, parental leave, FMLA, USERRA and ADA.
As a key member of our Benefits Team, you will act as the leave liaison, working with third party vendors, employees at all levels, their managers and Human Resources Business partners.
This is a hybrid position with expected onsite work in our Reston office 50% of the time.
Key Role:
Administer leave and absence activity, requests, approvals, denials and updates between employees, Shared Services, and third-party leave administrators, to ensure the fair and consistent application of leave and absence program policies and practices.
Manage reporting and status updates between third party vendor, Shared Services and HR.
To include communication of leave and return to work status.
Evaluate state leave requirements, coordinating with internal teams to ensure updated policies and systems are implemented accurately and communicated as appropriate.
Lead the review and recommendation of ADA requests, including requests for partial return to work from disability and intermittent leave requests.
Present summary and recommendations to Committee, and communicate outcome to all applicable parties.
Research absence and time off issues, including procedural changes, and provide timely feedback to requesting parties.
Review leave and paid time off eligibility, non-medical leave, donated leave, and other leave requests as needed.
Develop and deliver communications and training as appropriate.
Analyze leave and absence data and patterns, providing reporting and recommendations of future absence management strategies.
Ensure compliance with leave-related company policies and federal and state requirements, to include updating company policies as needed.
Run verification reports to monitor the quality of and compliance with attendance and leave policies/practices and coordinate with employee, Human Resources and Managers as appropriate.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on a regular basis.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2
years' experience in leave administration, preferably in a corporate, multi-state setting.
An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered.
In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations that govern benefit programs, including FMLA, ADA and USERRA.
This includes state-paid family leave and time off programs.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experienced in using HRIS to respond to demands for data retrieval, information processing, and reporting.
ADP Advantage and/or Ceridian experience a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently and collaboratively with a team.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
