Function:
The Analyst will analyze big data, design process improvements, and write software that will enable our clients to harness the depth of our digital data assets. This role will play an integral part in shaping the new narrative of audience measurement in the age of multiple devices and unique platforms.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Collaborate between cross-functional teams to design, develop, and run statistical analyses on very large datasets.
Work with comScore analytics and data quality teams to ensure we deliver robust quality data.
Detect and troubleshoot inconsistencies and errors in large datasets.
Qualifications:
BS or higher degree in Statistics or related field, such as Operations Research, Applied Statistics or Econometrics.
A strong analytical approach grounded in measuring incremental performance improvement and actionable results
A strong tie to cutting edge research with an eye towards adapting new techniques to the data and inference challenges faced at comScore.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical material to varied audiences with different levels of statistical knowledge both internally and externally.
Proficiency in SQL, R, or SAS.
Experience working with large, disparate data sources and developing scalable routines to process and analyze them.
Preferred:
Very strong experience with R and SQL for accomplishing small and medium-sized tasks.
Hadoop or comparable MapReduce experience.
Experience with the Internet advertising industry and/or behavioral data.
Solid understanding of Git or similar distributed version control systems.
