Procom Services has an open ended contract opportunity for a Windows Administrator with a client in Reston, VA.
Windows Administrator Responsibilities
? Manage Windows Server 2003/2008, MS Exchange
? Experience with VMWare ESX servers 4.x
? Expected to formulate and implement procedures and standards relating to technology implementation, management and security.
? Expected to perform performance analysis to determine delivery expectations and sizing requirements based on current and projected volumes.
? Expected to implement, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and repair server hardware and software working with 3rd party vendors
? Expected to use tools to track and report end-user problems and resolutions to I.S. management and to monitor resource performance and utilization.
? Expected to interact with other groups in GIS to determine optimum configurations.
? Expected to keep abreast of technology developments in the operating systems and/or storage subsystems fields.
? Expected to perform tasks given general work instructions and the use of standardized procedures and practices. Variations in work routines are permitted in appropriate circumstances.
? Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment. A willingness and ability to learn new technologies and become a key resource for the group is necessary.
? Requires sound technological judgment and an enthusiasm for innovation tempered with a pragmatic assessment of the possible.
? This position is required to be on-call and work extended hours and weekends in support of the job function.
? Expected to ensure that schedule and performance standards are met and sustained.
? Demonstrates required competencies on a consistent basis.
? SOX and GxP experience a plus
? HP Hardware (Proliant servers and chassis) is a plus
The position will require 'on-call' support.

12 months plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
