Are you looking for an opportunity to lead the SAP workload conversation with Clients, helping them develop and execute the right platform decisions in support of their SAP systems, leveraging the full breadth of infrastructure and ITaaS solutions from Dimension Data including hosting and Cloud services for SAP. In this position you will take the lead in developing and executing our SAP go to market plans across the US. The Solution Architect is a consultative sales, technical sales and partnership focused specialist who will lead initiatives related to our strategic SAP workload - led go to market.
The role requires a strong understanding of the infrastructure needs that support SAP systems including hybrid solutions such as hosting and/or Cloud services for SAP. The role requires a good understanding of the SAP infrastructure market dynamics and how Clients are adopting new platforms such as Cloud services and also new architectures such as SAP HANA. The individual will execute and support joint solution development and account planning activities with our tier 1 partners including Cisco, EMC and NetApp and also take the lead in working with the SAP application team at NTT Data.
Major Duties &
Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of the various SAP solution offerings to effectively position and sell Dimension Data's infrastructure and platform solutions for SAP in the marketplace
Develop deep technical understanding of SAP infrastructure solutions and be the go to person within the organization
Execute on efforts in building pipeline of opportunities and to meet and exceed revenue objectives of the partnership
Build awareness campaigns about partnership including facilitation of Sales/Technical enablement, tracking of accreditation, hosting Executive briefings, crafting of joint success stories and by sharing best practices to the broader Dimension Data global sales teams
Develop best practices for positioning and selling the joint solutions
Engaging the right resources within Dimension Data and the Partner eco-system to accelerate and increase the success/Win rate of opportunities
Drive Sales excellence by developing and disseminating dashboards, performance reports and metrics around Partnership
Qualifications:

Successful track record in solution development and growing technology partnerships
Demonstrated capability with business development in SAP infrastructure business
Ability to build and execute on awareness campaigns
Fluent in engaging cross functional go to market teams including sales, sales specialists, presales and operations teams at Dimension Data and the Partner eco-system
Analytical skills and proven ability to work with Partners to think out of box for creating business value
Drive and willingness to cooperate with global colleagues and influence team members through leadership and good communication
Strong experience in leading Partnership discussions and meetings at a business and technical level
A team player willing to develop and disseminate Intellectual Capital
Combination of Partnership, advanced technical aptitude and consultative capabilities with a strong sales and business slant
Strong SAP infrastructure platform knowledge is required
Requires strong verbal and written communication skills along with a willingness to mentor others in the cross-functional organization
Good project and time management skills
7-10 years of progressive experience in Technical Sales as a Solution Architect and Solution Development Manager
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Ability to travel up to 40% within Americas
Technical skills - required:
Enterprise architecture and SAP infrastructure solution design
Strong experience in Virtualization technologies, especially VMware and Microsoft Hype-V
Strong experience in Converged Infrastructure solutions
Basic understanding of Netweaver architecture and SAP modules
Strong knowledge of SAP HANA virtualization and SAP LVM
Storage and backup technology design
Strong understanding of high availability methods, protocols, and designs
Basic understanding in database systems - Oracle, SQL etc.
Strong experience in Operating Systems, especially Linux and Windows
Experience in hardware capacity planning over multiple platforms (Cisco, HP, Dell,and IBM)
