The Technical Support Engineer is committed to delivering the highest quality customer experience through support engagements that resolve customer requests quickly, thoroughly and completely via phone, chat, and/or email.
Responsibilities:
Ticket creation and documentation
Isolate and identify potential issues
Quickly understand customer networks, systems and business needs
Work with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Development, Test, Etc.)
Provide technical support via phone, chat, and email
Enter detailed bugs in development systems
Keep customer informed of status, workarounds, and resolutions through the life of the ticket
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Linux experience is a must (CentOS & Ubuntu server preferred)
Windows Operating Systems (XP-Windows 8.X)
Virtualization technology (KVM, VMware/ESX Headless & GUI)
Windows and Linux Mail Servers (Exchange, Postfix, Qmail)
Very strong troubleshooting abilities (previous SMTP/Exchange experience a plus)
Networking knowledge and experience (Wireshark, tcpdump, netsniff-ng)
SSH and remote desktop technologies
Security-minded, out of the box thinkers who are willing to go the extra mile
Ability to document steps to reproduce issues
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Malware experience
Metasploit, Backtrack, Kali, or other security-centered Operating Systems
Advanced Linux troubleshooting skills
Light Bash, Perl, or Python scripting skills
Ability to setup test environments & reproduce issues
ThreatTrack Security is an AA/EOE/Vets/Disabled employer.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
