vRealize Automation Engineer
Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Sr.
Virtualization Orchestration Engineer with proven automation skills to join a highly motivated team to perform tasks such as systems planning, configuring systems, provisioning software, providing technical guidance in automation, defining standards, assisting with research and design for architectural issues, assisting/providing status updates, and implementation automated platform provisioning.
Candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, maintaining and continually improving orchestrated workflows to automate IT processes throughout the enterprise.
Work closely with Middleware, Database and compute, Security, network operations, data center team and engineering groups to create automation solutions.
Responsibilities:
Automate provisioning for on-prem cloud and external cloud provisioning using Vrealize Automation (VRA) and Vrealize Orchestrator (VRO)
Develop Linux, Solaris and AIX scripts
OS Automation including deployment, and configuration management
Technology direction for enabling technologies including next generation infrastructure paradigms and user empowerment.
Candidates will be expected to design, engineer and support the environment including Kernel settings, develop automated processes and integration solutions
Maintains understanding of emerging operating systems architecture concepts and methods and associated technology trends.
Provides guidance and leadership for UNIX operations and Architecture team.
Help operations to resolve any major production issues.
Define and implement efficient end-to-end provisioning Automation solutions.
Serves as a subject matter expert for automation and orchestration
Supports the existing Automation Portals, provisioning scripts.
Identify the automation orchestration related opportunities throughout the organization
Independently leads the design of automation solutions to include hardware platforms, services, and operation systems.
Lead development of Java based Infrastructure Self-service Portals with a team of Developers, Engineers and Architects.
Provide Architecture solution to develop Self Service Portal and Infrastructure automation.
Create Automation solutions using VMware technologies, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic and SOA.
Role will be accountable for working multiple internal departments to in delivering enterprise automation solutions.
Work with development teams for develops Infrastructure web applications using COTS products or JSP, Servlet and XML.
Conduct POCs to demo new ideas and help solidify technical direction.
Work with internal as well as external resources to achieve project goals.
Work in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance & technical guidance to less experienced team members
Qualifications:
5-7 years of Excellent Scripting skills (Example:
Shell Scripts, BladeLogic, vRealize Automation (VRA) and/or Service now)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
knowledge of VRealize Automation and ability to create work flows
The candidate preferred to have enterprise architectural experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including the core OS (automation and governance), systems management solutions, Middleware and integration of cross platform technologies, as well as in depth knowledge of x86/x64 hardware architecture and relationships within storage, network and facilities framework.
Hands-on Engineer with previous experience setting overall platform direction and strategy including design, implementation and life cycle management of large, enterprise Linux Server environments including automated system provisioning, disaster recovery, and system maintenance.
The candidate should have knowledge in Linux, SOlaris and AIX operating systems.
Enterprise architectural experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including the core OS, systems management solutions, Middleware and integration of cross platform technologies.
Strong knowledge of Redhat Linux 5.
x-6.
x, Solaris 10/11 and AIX.
Scripting and BladeLogic experience is desired.
Experience with automation tools and Scripting.
Knowledge in VMware and Storage.

Excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
Ability to lead and engage cross-functional teams of varying skills/experience.
Excellent coding and GUI skills
Development skills in Service now.
Development of Vrealaize Automation (VRA), VCloud air, SharePoint, Industry Cloud automation orchestration tools is a plus
Experience with Agile Scrum Methodology

Strong organizational and communication skills
Core Java web application/automation development and ability to provide automation solutions.
Strong development and support skills with around 5-7 years of collective experience in Java EE and Middleware technologies (WebLogic, WebMethods, Apache, Tomcat, etc.
) in UNIX environment desired.
Hands on experience with Apache, Tomcat and WebLogic
Expert in web technologies such as Java, Struts and MVC frameworks.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
