Software Engineer, Senior
Key Role:
Support R&D efforts to develop innovative geospatial and 2D or 3D modeling algorithms in a Cloud based environment. Leverage existing GOTS and COTS tools by exposing their algorithms as micro services and enhancing them iteratively. Create new tools to assist analysts with making sense of the large amounts of data they need to sift through daily. Perform highly complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software in support of distinct product hardware or technical service lines of businesses. Analyze and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems. Assist with training junior software engineer staff.
Basic
Qualifications:
10
years of experience with developing software applications in Java, Python, or equivalent programming languages
5
years of experience in working with geospatial data
5
years of experience with implementing custom algorithms and visualizations
3
years of experience with implementing machine learning algorithms
Active TS/SCI clearance required
MS degree required
Additional
Qualifications:
Experience with leading a team using Agile in an R&D environment
Experience with creating micro services and SaaS Web services
Experience with HTML5, JavaScript Frameworks, or REST
Experience with GOTS and COTS tools, including FADE, AutoMLD, SenseMaker, CWAC WMD Portal, and RemoteView
Experience with Cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google App Engine (GAE), IC Commercial Cloud Services (C2S), AWS GovCloud, and DoDIIS App Engine (DAE)
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
