IT Project Manager TS/SCI with Poly

JobDescription (describe the day-to-day):
Plans, directs, and coordinates computer-relatedactivities including electronic data processing information systems, systemsanalysis, and computer programming. Performs day-to-day management of theprogram, and develop long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that end userrequirements will be satisfied in future years of the contract. Incumbentsperform horizontal integration planning, and interface with other functionalareas, ensuring that technical solutions and schedules are implemented in atimely manner.
Ensurethat Contractor tasks are completed within the deadlines, tasking guidance fromthe
Governmentis clear and unambiguous, contract personnel are qualified to perform thetasks, and potential personnel problems are pre-empted.
Consultand coordinate with the appropriate Task Manager for problem resolution, taskscheduling, new resource requirements, training needs, and task clarification
Consultwith users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs andsystem requirements.
Directdaily operations of department by: analyzing workflow, establishing priorities,developing standards and setting deadlines.
Planand coordinate activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware andsoftware, programming and systems design, development of computer networks, andimplementation of
Internetand intranet sites. They are increasingly involved with the upkeep,maintenance, and security of networks.
Providemanagement of contract personnel and ensure high quality and acceptable taskcompletion and deliverables within their contract in compliance with the SOW.Provide frequent periodic reports on the status of the contractor staffing.
Theyare the point of contact for non-routine to moderately complex installationprojects for communication networks.
Theyare accountable for meeting contractual performance criteria and due datesduring service delivery, and successful overall project completion.
Theycoordinate activities in support of program managers and teams that support theprovisioning, design, installation, maintenance, and billing of services. Theytrack and monitor service orders through completion and turn-up, and preparedeliverables (e.g., status reports to Government, order information, openissues).
Qualifications(minimum requirements, per the contract):
BS degree from an accredited engineering school andfive (5) to eight (8) years of engineering experience, or a MS degree from anaccredited engineering school and four (4) to six (6) years of engineeringexperience, or Ph.D. from an accredited engineering school and zero (0) tothree (3) years of related engineering experience.
Must be able to communicate effectively bothverbally and in writing
Must be able to interface with individuals at all levelsof the organization both verbally and in writing
Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite(PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
Advancedknowledge the customer and the interworking's of the organization are criticalto this position.
Mustpay attention to detail and remain alert at all times.
Priorknowledge with Cat5, Cat6, Fiber, Network Switches, and patch panels, voicetechnologies, Microsoft Project, ESMT
Must take and pass a drug test and background check
